The QL2 Management Team

Russ Aldrich, CEO

Russ has more than 35 years of experience, both as an executive in the software industry and as a managing director in venture capital firms. Prior to joining QL2, Russ was engaged on a project with the Office of Technology Transfer at the University of Washington and Executive Director of Guide Ventures LLC, a Seattle-based venture capital firm. As a venture capitalist, Russ has helped multiple companies grow from ideas to multi-million dollar ventures. His portfolio includes successful Pacific Northwest companies such as AdRelevance (acquired by Media Metrix), Virtual Relocation (acquired by TMP Worldwide) and ShareBuilder (acquired by ING). Over the past three years as a CxO-level consultant, he has assisted early stage start-ups to achieve their goals. Aldrich has a keen understanding of database technology and connectivity and he was a co-founder of Simba Technologies, Microsoft's partner in the development of open database connectivity (ODBC). Earlier in his career he served in executive roles at a number of innovative companies including Silicon Graphics, Unisys, Altos Computer Systems, Apple Computer and Xerox.

Scott Milburn, VP & General Counsel

Scott is an entrepreneurial senior executive and attorney, with more than 30 years experience in business, law, technology, and finance. For the past 10 years, Scott has worked with early stage technology companies, focusing on corporate strategy and strategic alliances. As a founder of SGB Ventures, Scott assisted early stage cleantech companies in market development. Prior to founding SGB, Scott led business development efforts at Reality Response working with the federal government, state, and local markets. Prior to Reality Response, he was Managing Director of Convergent Technology Group, VP of International Business Development of Webforia, Inc., and VP of Business Development and Operations at AdRelevance, Inc. Scott spent the preceding 18 years in a full-time law practice, including four years as a Trial Attorney in the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division, and 10 years at Preston Gates & Ellis LLP.

Paul Campbell, VP and GM, Travel and Hospitality

Paul has a diverse background spanning over 30 years experience in sales, pricing and revenue management, ecommerce, and operations for Fortune 500 companies. Paul serves as Vice President of Sales overseeing the sales organization worldwide. His dynamic understanding of the industry coupled with his experience implementing enterprise solutions gives him unique expertise to guide our global sales organization focused on delivering demand driven data access, aggregation and delivery services to QL2's prospects and clients. Before becoming VP of sales, Paul was the VP of Travel Solutions at QL2 where he grew the client base by 5X and helped QL2 achieve significant revenue growth over a three year period. Prior to QL2 Paul served in management roles at Delta Airlines, Talus Solutions, DFI/Aeronomics and United Airlines.

Kerri Bumgardner, VP Engineering

Kerri is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in the retail industry. She leads the QL2 development team and is responsible for delivering enterprise-class solutions for QL2. Kerri has a strong comprehension of complex technical situations and has extensive experience in reengineering IT departments, drastically improving communication and reducing the total cost of ownership in business process development and change management. Prior to joining QL2, Kerri was the director of merchandising systems and manager of technology support services at Nordstrom in Seattle. During her tenure at Nordstrom, she held positions as the manager of technology support services and a variety of consulting roles. Kerri was also the Vice President of Network and Customer Operations at Telicor, Inc.

Mark Ghazal, VP and GM, New Business Development

Mark brings over 10 years of software and emerging technology experience to the QL2 Solution Architecture organization. Mark is a pioneer in the data access and delivery space and has an expansive understanding of the properties of unstructured data in all of its forms. Mark has spent the past nine years delivering advanced technology solutions to users with unique information analysis needs in a variety of industries. He's contributed to the QL2 core technology, created development standards and processes and was a fundamental contributor in designing how QL2 delivers data access and integration services to companies around the globe. Prior to QL2 Mark attended the University of Washington and worked at Blue Nile as it came online to offer jewelry and gems in the then emerging marketplace.
